Welcome one and all to our blog. This is the place to be to follow us on our journey, to support us, to be a part of all of the happenings as we move forward to our new home in Uganda.  We are excited to share with you the Aguilar happenings from Texas to Uganda!   Thank you for being a part of our journey, and what God is doing in our lives!   For those of you wondering, here is a quick look at how this all came to be.

One normal day, in our normal home, in normal September, Joseph approached me and said, " I want you to prayerfully consider a move to Uganda."  Now this didn't just come out of the blue, he didn't just spin the globe and see where his finger would land for our family's next Mapgreat adventure.  No, he had been home from his second mission trip to Uganda about 3 weeks, and had been fervently praying over this new venture God had placed on his heart.  As any good wife would do, I began to spout off logistical questions.  His reply, "That's all I've got."  So I immediately retreated to our room with my bible and journal, and began to seek the Lord regarding this question that had been posed to me.  After praying and praying, I began to feel a peace, an excitement, a passion for this country, and it's many needs.  As I sought out scripture, Romans 10:14-15 jumped out at me 14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”.    I want to be the beautiful feet of Jesus.

"Yes, God." I said," I can go, but I have no training no knowledge, no way of knowing how or what to say or do.  1 Corinthians 2:1-5 says, "And so it was with me, brothers and sisters. When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling. My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.   I don't need to know anything except utter dependence on God.  I just need to be willing and available.

After a bit we agreed we had a solid "Yes!" from God.  Then we began planning, and planning, and planning. We love that God is sovereign, and we are able to go, serve, and LOVE where He sends us!!   Stay tuned for more and more info as we prepare for this move.
